BRE365 Storm Water Testing & Design
The purpose of BRE365 storm water test is to ascertain if a site has the ability to allow for the discharge of storm water or rain water on site through the use of a suitably designed soak-a-way such as a trench system or ring design.
The primary purpose of the of designing an on-site method of storm water or rain water disposal is generally to help reduce the demand on local services and to combat the rise in flooding in urban areas in more recent years.
The BRE365 test is often a compulsory part of any new planning application particularly in urban areas (SUDS).
